Lieutenant Colonel, USAF,Douglas C. Edwards was a member of the Class of 1989 of Delaware Valley High School. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from the Air Force Academy in 1994. He received an MBA in Finance from California State University Sacramento in 1997 and a Master of Science in Military Arts and Sciences from Air University, Maxwell AFB, Alabama in 2006. Additional education includes Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College. His distinguished service career has taken him to bases throughout the country including California, Oklahoma, Washington, Alabama and Illinois. Col. Edwards’ career has shown a steady growth of leadership skills and promotions. He has been named Pilot of the Year, Staff Officer of the Year, and ranked number one in three other categories. He was a Distinguished Graduate of the Squadron Officer School and recipient of the John J. Welsh Award for Excellence in Acquisition. He was also awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Medal, The Aerial Achievement Award, the AF Commendation Medal, and the AF Achievement Medal. He has accumulated 2750 flying hours and has been both an Evaluator and Instructor Pilot. He is currently a squadron commander.
