Dr. James A. Alborano was a member of the Class of 1965 of Delaware Valley High School. He attended East Stroudsburg State College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with minors in History and English. He received a Master of Arts Degree from ESSC in 1971 with a major in History and a minor in Political Science. He received a Master of Education Degree and an Administration Certificate from Lehigh University in 1973 and 1974 respectively. He earned a Doctorate of Education Degree from Fordham University in 2002. During his long and varied career, he served as classroom teacher, college instructor, and administrator within the Delaware Valley School District. Extremely active in community organizations, he was Pike County Historian, member of Pike and Minisink Valley Historical Societies, The National, State, and Local Grange, The Theodore Roosevelt Society, Pike County and Westfall Township Republican Committees, Westfall Township Auditor, member of the Tri-States Community Chorus, and the Hope Evangelical Free Church where he served as vice president, secretary and choir member. He was also associated with the Pike County Education Association, Pike County Children and Youth Services Advisory Board, Pike County 4-H Development Fund, and the ABC Reading Council. He has been honored by Kappa Delta Theta and was named VFW Teacher of the Year.
