Dr. Lisa Ann Harrington

Lisa Ann Harrington, D.O. was a member of the Class of 1984 of Delaware Valley High School. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychobiology from the University of Scranton in 1988. She earned her medical degree from the University of Healthand Science, Des Moines, Iowa in 1993. She did her residency in Bangor, Maine, at Eastern Maine Medical Center where she met her husband, Thad, also a doctor. Dr. Harrington, aware of a vital need for the development of a practice which provides health care for those in financial need, was instrumental in bringing together key community members to establish the AuSable Free Clinic in 2005, serving as its medical director. The clinic has provided quality health care for more than twelve thousand citizens in need. In April of 2010 she was recognized by the Michigan Department of Community Health as a “Public Policy Champion and Hometown Hero.” According to the MDCH Director, Lisa is a premier example of what it means to be a health advocate for the people of Michigan. She has worked collaboratively to make her community a healthier place to live and grow. Dr. Harrington is also Board Certified in Hospice and serves as Medical Director of Mercy Hospice in Grayling, Michigan.
