Nan R. Gray was a member of the Class of 1970 of Delaware Valley High School. An Honor Society member and top ten graduate she entered Lebanon Valley College pursuing a degree in Psychology which she obtained in 1973. Upon graduation she immediately pursued a graduate degree in Counselor Education at Marywood University in 1974. Thereafter she served as a school counselor, first at Delaware Valley and then in New Jersey and then in Utah. Ms. Gray has received advanced endorsements from Weber State University in 1982 and from Utah State University in 1993. Her employment has taken her from the counseling office to the classroom and then to administration. In the Tooele School District for over a 22 year period she rose to the rank of Director if At Risk Services and held that position until was engaged as Education Specialist, then Coordinator of Special Education and finally State Director of Special Education for the State of Utah, which position she presently holds. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Utah Parent Center as well as on the Consortium Board of the Utah Consortium for Special Education.
