School-Issued Chromebook Update
Dear Parents/Guardians:
With the end of the school year quickly approaching, we wanted to inform you of the following school-issued Chromebook procedures:
- Seniors returned their school-issued Chromebooks during English classes on Monday, June 5th, in the New Gym lobby.
- Underclassmen will keep their school-issued Chromebooks over the summer. Many of our students depend on these devices to complete summer work for next year’s classes. This will also ensure a smoother transition at the beginning of the school year because students will not have to wait several days for the devices to be distributed.
- Technology insurance purchased through Securranty at the beginning of the school year will cover devices through the summer. If you do not have technology insurance, you may purchase it now. That insurance will cover your school-issued device over the summer months and through next school year. The link for purchasing technology insurance is on the “Parent Page” on the district website.
- Underclassmen who do not wish to keep their school-issued Chromebooks over the summer should return them to the Learning Commons before the last day of school, and the same Chromebook will be returned to them at the start of next school year.
- Any student planning on transferring out of DVHS must return all materials, including Chromebooks, in order to facilitate a timely transfer of academic records to their new school.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the DVHS office.
