The Junior Historians club is a community service-based organization that volunteers throughout the year and commemorates all historical holidays. The club collects money for the Pike County Humane Society, donates to the Tutwiler cause in Mississippi and collects food and clothing for local pantries. At the local Salvation Army, members volunteer their time during the holidays. Members also run a dinner for the local Veterans and a dinner for local senior citizens. The goal of the club is to appreciate history and to have members donate their time to improve their school and community.
