A Chromebook is a special type of laptop. Instead of Windows or Mac OS, Chromebooks run Google’s Chrome OS. Chromebooks are designed to be used while connected to the Internet, with most applications and documents stored in the cloud. With a 7 second boot time and 8+ hour battery life these machines are designed to optimize the amount of time students can spend utilizing this technology.
Chromebooks do not use a lot of internal storage, instead they use the cloud through Google Drive. By saving to the cloud students can do real time collaboration and share their work with other students and their teachers from any web connected device. This simplifies the ways that students can work on group projects in and out of the classroom.
