Lynn graduated in 1962. She graduated in 1966 from Susquehanna University with a BS in Music Education and in 1969 she received a MA in Music Education from Trenton State College. Her first employment was as an elementary school music teacher in Hightstown and the Oxford, NJ. Since 1983, she has been chorus director and music department chair of the Stroudsburg School District. In 1988, she was chosen as the Rotary Club Teachers of the Year. In 1999, she was given the PA Music Educator's District 10 "Citation of Excellence." Her show choir has been invited to Disney World 3-times.

In 1985, she published a collection of children's songs entitled "Through the Eyes of Child." She continues to teach and live in the Stroudsburg area with her husband, Dick Talbot (DVHS Class of 1962).
