The Dingman-Delaware Middle School Student Council Annual Can Drive was a HUGE success. The students and staff donated 2093 non-perishable food items to the Holy Trinity Food Pantry in Dingmans Ferry. Barbara Hupfer, Food Pantry Director, appreciated the donation and will be able to help more local families for the holidays. The homerooms with the most donations which won a bagel party and the “Super Can Man Trophy” were: Ms. Schneck grade six D7 homeroom with a whopping 286 cans, winning back to back years is; Mrs. Kratz’s grade seven G1 homeroom with a impressive 267 cans; the largest classroom donation is Mrs. Miller’s grade eight G4 homeroom with 505 cans. We would also like to give an honorable mention to Mr. Hasties grade 7, G2 homeroom for collecting 175 cans, Mrs. De Francesco’s grade 6, D8 homeroom with 223 cans and Mrs. Curchoe’s grade 8, C1 homeroom with 203 cans collected. They will also be receiving special surprise from the Student Council. Thank you to all the DDMS staff and students for participating and being so generous. Great job DDMS and remember.... together we can put an end to hunger.
