Student Council Raises $ for Red Cross

Dingman-Delaware Middle School (DDMS) Student Council’s Halloween Haunted Trail raised $590 for the American Red Cross, hurricane relief.

On October 27th, the Dingman-Delaware Middle School Student Council held its Halloween Dance.  Over 300 students attended, sporting a variety of weird and magnificent costumes.  At the dance, our Student Council created a haunted trail to raise funds for the American Red Cross, hurricane relief. The Student Council had over 290 students go through the trail and raised $590 dollars.

There was also a costume contest. The winners were:  for Best Overall – Samantha Hadley, Most Original – Devin Stashluk, Scariest – Nick Olcott, Funniest – Jacob Albaugh, Weirdest – Ryan Decker, and Cutest – Malania Pena

Thank you to all the staff who graciously gave up their time to chaperone the dance, Mrs. Bachmann, Mrs. Poore, Mrs. Salus, Mr. Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. McCarthy, Mr. Imbt, Mr. Kim, Mr. and Mrs. Curchoe.  Thank you to the PTA for running the concession stand. Thank you to the custodial staff for supporting this event, and we appreciate you all. Thank you to the DDMS Administration for constantly supporting this event, the fund-raising idea, and your support of the Student Council.
