DDMS Student Council Can Drive Stuffed the Bus

The Dingman-Delaware Middle School Student Council Annual Can Drive was a GIGANTIC success.  The students and staff donated 1,671 non-perishable food items to the Holy Trinity Food Pantry in Dingmans Ferry.  Barbara Hupfer, Food Pantry Director,  appreciated the donation and will be able to help more local families for Christmas.

The homerooms with the most donations which won a bagel party  and the “Super Can Man Trophy” were: Ms .Schneck’s grade six D7 homeroom  with a whopping 255 cans;  Mrs. Caldwell’s and Mrs. Kratz’s grade seven G1  homeroom with a whopping 337 cans the largest classroom donation; and Mr. Batista’s grade eight G7  homeroom. The following group of teachers and students did an amazing job by collecting 1272 food items and that was 76% of the total donation; Mr. Batista, Mr. Hastie, Mrs. Caldwell/Mrs. Kratz, Ms. Schneck, Mr. Cooley and Mrs. Cafarella and they all will win a bagel party!!!

The students of DDMS donated 399 more food items this year and that will feed even more people.  Thank you to all the DDMS staff and students for participating and being so generous.  Great job DDMS and remember.... together we can put an end to hunger.
