The Governor's message yesterday was a little confusing so I hope this information helps clear things up.
We will implement online learning starting next Monday, March 30 through Wednesday, April 8. We will still have our spring break from April 9 to 13. Our plan for April 14 and beyond will be determined at a later date.
We have decided to end the third marking period back on March 13, which was the last day we had face to face classes. Students have until March 31 to submit any outstanding work that they want considered for the third marking period. This can be done by emailing the work to the teachers, mailing it to the school or placing it in the drop-box in the foyer at your school.
We will be having one last night of distributing Chromebooks this Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at DV High School, Dingman-Delaware Middle School and Shohola Elementary.
For those families without Internet access, I'm happy to report that Blue Ridge Cable is offering two months of free Internet. See their website or the DV website for more details.
For those families in need of food, please utilize the food pantries in Milford and Dingmans Ferry as well as the Salvation Army in Port Jervis.
Let me say thank you in advance for any help you can provide your children so that their learning continues albeit in a very different format. We will all work together to make this time worthwhile for the kids. Please contact the teachers directly with questions about schoolwork. Administrators, counselors and nurses will all be monitoring their email and voicemail should you need their assistance.
Please stay safe and healthy.
