Home of the 2006 AAAA
State Champions, Delaware Valley Warriors play in the District 2 Lackawanna
League. The program is lead by Dave Peters, coach of the 2006 state
championship team. Over the course of his tenure, the Warriors have been
competitive year in and year out, competing for the league title as well as a
run at the district championship. Last year they came up short in the
District 2 title game against Hazleton Area. This year, the team brings
back a veteran group of pitchers, but have lost the presence up the middle with
Matt Rivera, 2014 Regional All-star, off in college at Division 1 Junior
College, Georgia Highlands. To get back to the district title game, the
Warriors will need some new talent to fill those departed shoes.
