This school year, the
Shohola Elementary Library is excited about the new books
we have to offer our students. We
added over 1400 books to our collection this school year.
The library updated many series that we have
and selected new authors to join our collection. One
author that appeals to both younger and older students is
Andrew Clements. He
writes books that are about school age kids and the trials
and tribulations of growing up.
Having a background in teaching, it is easy to see
why he appeals to school age kids.
Sometimes
kids ask how I've been able to write so many books. The
answer is simple: one word at a time. Which is a good
lesson, I think. You don't have to do everything at once.
You don't have to know how every story is going to end. You
just have to take that next step, look for that next idea,
write that next word. And growing up, it's the same way. We
just have to go to that next class, read that next chapter,
help that next person. You simply have to do that next good
thing, and before you know it, you're living a good life,
said Andrew Clements.
Have your kids stop in the S.E.S. library to discover the
wonderful new titles we have from this author.
If this author is not appealing, we will help find
one that best suits your child.
