• The turbine was installed in 1882 when the mill was rebuilt after a fire. It ran the mill until 1922 (see image 8 above).
• A pulley on the vertical shaft of the turbine held the horizontal belt which supplied power to the pulley of the shaft of the millstone spindle.
• This can be seen inside the massive wooden support "hursting" in the background.
