PTA President’s Report

Wow!  What a busy month we had in October.  First of all, I would like to start off by saying thanks to Mr. and Mrs. John and Lynne Bell for another successful PTA Family Fun Candy Bar Bingo Night.  Fun was had by all who attended.  Also, thank you to Mrs. Roxanne Shearer for chairing the PromoGear clothing.  I think we had an excellent response.  Another big thank you goes out to Mrs. Janine Acoveno for taking over the huge job of chairing the Fall Fundraiser.  I’ll let you know the outcome of it after she sends it back to the company.  Thank you to all who helped order items.

Mrs. Irene Arizan-Rosen is anticipating a large response back from the Reflection Contest participants.  It is due November 2.

We have had many volunteers for School Safety Week.  Thank you to the Westfall Township Fire Department, Milford Ambulance, HOSA, Fran Rosario for the bus presentation, Safe Homes of Milford, and to my husband Chief Mark Moglia, from the Westfall Township Police Department, for all of their valuable time and commitment to our children.  Safety is always a big concern for us all.

As October ends and November begins, I am anticipating the annual Family Fun Math Night, which I am chairing along with Mr. Stephen Crump.  It will be held on Friday, November 2, from 7:00pm.-8:00pm.

We have another PTA meeting on Tuesday, November 13, at 7:00pm.  Our guest speaker is Mary Stanley from the Pike County Teen/Alcohol/Drug Resource Center.

Our PTA sponsored Book Fair will be held in our cafeteria the day of conferences, Tuesday, November 20 from 12:00-8:00pm.

Thank you for all of your support of our D.V.E.S.-PTA.  Without your help and support, we wouldn’t be so successful!! J

Mrs. Tammy Moglia,
