PTA
Presidents Report
We
started this month off with our annual PTA volunteer reception, which was held
in our cafeteria on Tuesday, April 1. Thank
you to all who attended and all of you who volunteer who couldnt make it that
evening. Rose Marys School of
Dance of Matamoras delighted us with many dance routines performed by her
students.
Our
PSSAs are all over with. Our
students will make us proud, Im sure. Our
children are smart! Our results
will show this.
Our
annual Family Fun Art Night and Book Fair was a huge success on Tuesday April
15. Mrs. Peggy Coniglio did another
fantastic job of bringing out the artist in all of the students.
Mrs. Dorothy Barth, Mrs. Amy Fluetter, and Mrs. Roxanne Shearer had a
wonderful turnout for our Book Fair. Thank
you to all who helped make that night a success.
We couldnt have done it without all of your time and commitment to our
children.
Our 5th
and 6th grade sleep over has been changed to Friday, May 2.
Your classroom teachers will let you know if you qualify in those grades.
It looks like our school year
will be ending shortly. We have one
final PTA meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, May 6.
Our
famous Spelling Bees, Science Bees, Geography Bees, and Math Bees will be held
the end of May and the beginning of June. All
of the children look forward to these days.
Our annual Scholastic Bowl will also be held.
Our Girls Night Out will be held on Thursday, May 8 from 7-8p.m.
This is chaired by Mrs. Mary Gelormino.
So, girls, look out for a flyer to be coming home. Our last Book Fair will be Tuesday, May 13, along with
our Curriculum Fair and Kindergarten Concert.
Our field days will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday June 3rd
and 4th. Our
Awards Day/Ice Cream Party will be on Wednesday June 11.
Thank
you all for a rewarding year. You
all have made my first year of being PTA President more manageable.
(And remember if you would like to volunteer for anything, leave me a
message X7248. Its never too
early to think now for next year). Thank
you for making D.V.E.S.~ a magic place for all of us.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Tammy Moglia
