PTA President’s Report

Welcome back from the holidays!  I hope everyone is feeling well.  January has been a bit of a slow month for PTA.  On Thursday, January 17, Mrs. Cristin Cavallaro had to reschedule our annual Sport Night due to inclement weather.  It was then held on Thursday, January 31.  She, once again, had a very eventful evening.  Thank you for your time and commitment to our children, Mrs. Cavallaro.

Be on the look out for the spring fundraiser-Gertrude Hawk candies.  Remember, we do not want our children selling door-to-door when selling the items.  Please, as a parent, bring the brochure to work, send it to other family members, friends, and neighbors.  We want our children to stay safe all the time!!  This will be our last fundraiser for this school year.  Remember all of our events, fun nights, wampum store, etc. comes from the sale of our fundraisers.

There are three children in our building who have moved on from council level to regional level for the PTA Reflections contest.  This contest was held at the beginning of this school year.  The three students are:  Taylor Moglia-1st grade Visual Arts PreK-2nd grades, Sydney C-3rd grade Visual Arts 3rd-5th grades, and Natalie R-6th grade Literature 6-8th grades.  Congratulations!

Our annual Sweetheart Dance will be held on Friday, February 8, from 7-8:00 p.m.  All girls are invited to attend with an adult male relative or friend.

Our next PTA meeting will be held on March 11.  We will be speaking about preparing our children for the P.S.S.A.s.  Just a reminder that our Boys’ Night Out has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 12.  The boys certainly look forward to this evening with Mr. Bart Clementoni and Mrs. Gail Sebring.

Thanks for all that you are doing to make our PTA work.  Many activities and events are successful because of so many helping hands. J    Sincerely,

Tammy Moglia - PTA president
