Mrs.
Janine Acoveno is the vice president of our school’s PTA.
This is her second year in this position with the PTA.
She joined the PTA when her oldest son was in kindergarten.
Now, all three of her children go to DVES.
Mrs.
Acoveno thinks it is important to have a PTA in a school because it helps to get
parents involved in activities for the children.
“We
have a great group of parents and teachers who work together to make great
memories for the students,” said Mrs. Acoveno.
What
Mrs. Acoveno likes most about being involved in the DVES PTA is getting to meet
new people and helping with Family Fun Nights.
Outside
of volunteering with the PTA, Mrs. Acoveno works as a probation officer for Pike
County. When she isn’t working,
she likes to play with her children, shop and walk.
