Ski and Snowboard
Club
Advisor: Ms. DiMarzio, ext. 7338
For the 2008-2009 season, the DVHS Ski and Snowboard Club
will be offering expanded opportunities to all DVHS students
interested in participating in snow sports this season.
Option 1: Attend Shawnee Mountain via bus six Friday nights
beginning in January. This program offers a combination of
the following to suit student needs: lift tickets, rentals,
and lessons. Students will be aided and supervised by DVHS
staff and parent volunteers during the six trips. Students
will board the bus by 3pm and be returned to the school parking
lot by 10pm. Students participating in this program must use
the bus transportation, but may be picked up by a parent/ guardian
at the mountain if they choose. All students must also be drug
tested in order to participate.
Option 2: For students seeking more of a challenge and/or
for students who have their own transportation, the club now
offers a discount all access season pass to Mountain Creek
in Vernon, New Jersey. The rate is only $199, a savings of
over $70 as compared to other discount passes.
Students may participate in both programs if they choose.
Students who purchase the season pass to Mountain Creek will
need to pick up their passes at Guest Services at the mountain.
Due to the fact that Option 2 is only a discount program,
Delaware Valley School District is in no part responsible for
students during their visits to the mountain.
In order to enroll in Option 2, students must return a check
for $199 made payable to DVHS no later than October 31, along
with the waiver provided in this packet. Passes will not be
processed without waivers.
Forms may be submitted to Ms. DiMarzio in room C15 or in the
9/10 cafeteria during A & C lunches or brought to the 9/10
office. Questions may be directed to Ms. DiMarzio by calling
296-3656, extension 7338, or by email at DiMarzioE@dvsd.org
Note: A separate packet is available for students who wish
to participate in the Shawnee program. The deadline for the
Shawnee program will be mid-November to early December.
