Mountain Bike Club
Advisor: Mr. Moran, ext. 7318
The Mountain Bike Club at DVHS is an extracurricular activity designed
for students who like to participate in the sport. By joining the mountain
bike club, students can not only get a great workout, but they also
learn the mechanics of their bikes and new techniques to perform on
them.
The Club meets after school, but its members also participate in excursions
outside of DVHS. Each week, members can sign up in room M7 for the trips
they can participate in. After the trip, group members and the club's
advisors get
together to discuss the highlights of the ride. Group excursions in the past
have been in Jim Thorpe, PA and Stewart State Airport, NY. These trips provide
not only great experiences for club members, but amazing views as well.
Prospective members should have a mountain bike, helmet, and other
safety items, as well as proper hydration. Meetings for the fall and
spring seasons
have
yet to be announced, but Mr. Moran can be contacted via the homework hotline,
ext. 7318.
