The DVHS Environmental Club is an after school activity designed to
give students a better understanding and appreciation of the environment.
Club activities include sampling water quality at local streams, hiking,
recycling white paper, community service activities, trout stocking,
monitoring the weather station and maintaining our wildlife habitat.
Environmental Club members will be attending an environmental education
and adventure training weekend in May at Frost Valley in the Catskills.
Students are also busy preparing for the annual Envirothon competition
in which local schools compete in the following 5 categories: aquatics,
wildlife, soils, forestry and the current issue: wildfire.
Below are photos of the courtyard between the C and B wings that was
designed by the Environmental Club.
