This course is designed for middle school students at Delaware
Valley Middle
School to receive an art
background which will enrich their everyday lives and build a strong foundation for future
experiences in art. An understanding and appreciation of artists along with the cultural
and historical context of their works will create meaningful studio experiences. This nine-week course is made up of five units:
Students are exposed to each unit in both grade levels, but the type of media varies and the process in which students apply new techniques becomes more advanced.
