"We don't always create the
conflicts that enter our lives, but we can choose our response to
those conflicts." Peer Mediation is a program of conflict resolution. Its purpose is to help eliminate bickering, fear and violence in our schools. Students may choose mediation as a response to a conflict in their school lives. If a student is having a conflict with another student, (s)he may ask their guidance counselor, an administrator or one of the program coordinators, Mrs. Weinstein or Mr. Geoffroy, for the opportunity to mediate a conflict.
The mediation process is strictly confidential. The students will try to find a peaceful and equitable solution with the help of two trained student mediators. Certain issues such as drugs, alcohol, or abuse may not be discussed or mediated.
